Splice today is a website based out of Baltimore city that focuses on writing and multimedia, subdivided into a wide range of departments such as music, pop culture, film, politics, etc... The site was founded by Russ Smith, a well known newspaper columnist and publisher known for his contributions to the Wall Street Journal's editorial page as well as the founding of the Baltimore City Paper, Washington City Paper, and the New York Press.
When the up-and-coming website caught a listen of one of Syko & Buddy's demos, they promptly had their newly recorded song "Unsaid" posted to their site, highlighting the band as their featured artist of the week. The One Stone Studios group was really taken aback to get this kind of meaningful yet un-sought after publicity, so early in their recording process. Their writeup can be viewed here. Moreover, the article seems to be garnering more than its fair share of traction: recording eighty associated Facebook likes to date, it is outperforming the typical Splice Today article by miles.
