Artists

(CLICK ON NAME OF ARTIST TO LISTEN)

MAZIE

A classically-trained opera and jazz singer, Mazie (aka Grace Christian) is gifted with one of the most incredible voices you will ever hear. She channels elements of folk, gospel, and neo soul in her vocal performances, which feature remarkably sophisticated lyrics for a sixteen-year-old. Mazie also has a knack for writing quirky, yet captivating songs that showcase her love for the piano. Her compositions vacillate between high energy "head-boppers" and laid-back, moody tunes.

Buster!

An innovative jazz trio featuring Max Hoenig (keys), Mike Ianuzzi (drums), and Antonio Robinson (bass), Buster! is a tight convergence of creative forces. The group is heavily influenced by the rhythms and melodies of hip-hop and funk alike, while maintaining the unique progressions and extended solos characteristic of jazz. Collaborating since their days at a Philly magnet school for music, these three friends' uncanny synchronicity, repertoire, and ability to create a song on the spot makes for quite the live experience. Buster!'s members are deeply woven into the fabric of the local music scene, having played countless gigs in the city independently and as a trio. An alum of the prestigious Keystone State Boychoir program, Max also has some serious chops to his credit. A consummate improvisor and experimenter on piano/synth, Max fills the big shoes of his father (lifelong music director) & brother Ari (world-renowned jazz drummer). Throw a technically brilliant bass player like Antonio (studying at Berklee) and a mind-blowing drummer like Mike (whose worship album recently hit top 10 for gospel on iTunes) into the mix, and you have a really dynamic group.

Sarah Lee

At 21 years old, Sarah Lee is coming into her own as a powerful pop vocalist with an R&B/Soul twist. She delivers her lyrics with an effortless cadence, meandering throughout the refreshingly modern and alternative instrumentation that define her tracks. Channeling a hushed "Lana Del Rey" vibe at times, Sarah's melodies might just place you in a trance. Her repertoire vacillates between slow-burning alternative anthems and high-energy party bangers, both of which shine a spotlight on her unique singing ability.

Syko & Buddy

A dynamic two-piece composed of Elie Rizk (Guitar, Bass, Keys, Lead Vocals) and Angelo Munafo (Drums, Backing Vocals) formed in 2010, Syko & Buddy has been working on their debut album for the past year. Their unique, blues-inspired sound transcends the traditional "Rock" label.

Elie Rizk

A multi-talented musician whose songwriting ability is second to none, Elie has a vast catalogue of music in his arsenal and the technical proficiency to pull off any musical vision he may have. His distinct singing voice and original chord progressions set his music apart from the rest, while preserving the mass appeal of the "Alternative Rock" sound.

M|Winter

M|Winter (aka Meghan Winter) is an emerging musical force based out of Nashville, whose explosive songs bleed a quintessential Pop Punk sound in the vein of some of the iconic bands of the 2000's that defined her genre. The influence of groups like Paramore and Neck Deep are palpable. Layers of grungy distorted guitars, pulsing bass, and driving backbeats form the stormy canvas that Meghan's bubbly vocals (and a few soaring guitar solos) streak across. The execution of an aggressive tone while maintaining a feeling of youthful exuberance is what makes for a really appealing mix.

Joe Arcuri

A skilled blues guitar player at heart, Joe joins Caleb Clawson (Drums) and Leah Gizzi (Vocals) in working on a debut album entitled "No More." Leah's powerful voice and catchy lyrics provide the group with a flash of pop and soul, while Joe's searing guitar solos ground the band in their Rock roots.

Tommy Faust

A jam-band enthusiast with a knack for coming up with catchy grooves, Tommy is an experienced rock 'n roll guitar player. He spent a year gigging in and around Tuscaloosa and now heads off to Atlanta to play shows alongside a couple bandmates from the University of Alabama. Tommy's music channels the spirit of legends like Jerry Garcia and Greg Allman along with modern groups like "moe." and "The String Cheese Incident."

Braxton Sult

A talented vocalist with a knack for covering popular music, Braxton has the look and sound of the next Justin Bieber or One-Direction member. His taste and skill set align perfectly with the songs that most young people are listening to today, and with minimal experience he already seems to have a great presence performing live in the studio. Placing an emphasis on music videos thus far, Braxton has focused on utilizing the multimedia capabilities of our operation.

About

One Stone Studios is run by Elie Rizk and Angelo Munafo.

Elie currently attends the University of Maryland College Park, while Angelo attends the University of Pennsylvania.

Childhood friends and musical partners, they formed the group "Syko & Buddy" and One Stone was born.

The duo began serious recording a couple years ago and has been honing their technical expertise and equipment stockpile ever since.

With a lifetime of playing and listening expertise to their credit, Elie and Angelo bring a breadth of musical knowledge to the table and would make ideal collaborators on your forthcoming project.

No matter your style or genre of choice, One Stone has the means to create the sound you want and the skill to produce you a professional quality record.

One Stone can accommodate solo artists and full bands alike, recording completely live takes or track-by-track depending on the client's preference.

Budding artists in their own right, Elie and Angelo understand what it's like to be starting out and cater to talented young bands/artists entering the recording scene.

You'll be hard pressed to find a couple people with more passion for good music and commitment to building a perfect final product.

In recent months, good friend and musical partner Mikey Ambrosino has frequently helped us as an engineering consultant and industry liaison.

In conclusion, One Stone is large enough to serve your needs and small enough to care that you succeed.

RATES

$50 per hour, capped at a maximum of

  • $500 per song, if doing 1-4 songs
  • $400 per song, if doing 5-9 songs
  • $360 per song, if doing 10 songs

One Stone has the generous policy of charging you either by the hour or by the song, whichever ends up being cheaper for you. Because experience has taught us that the best results take the most time, once the hourly rate adds up to the song rate, the charges for that particular song will never exceed that threshold. We have as much a vested interest in these songs turning out perfectly as you do, and we want to be able to spend as much time as we possibly can on them (without you footing any extra costs) to ensure they are of the utmost quality. Capping our charges per song after a relatively small amount of hours allows you to have the liberty to experiment with different sounds and additions to your song that you may never have anticipated going into the recording session. We are full of ideas of ways to improve your music and approach the producer-artist relationship as a true collaboration. Additionally, we look to foster an environment in which neither party feels pressured to rush through the process and settle for a less than stellar product.

All of that being said, if you are a band coming in with completely written out songs and a crystal clear vision for everything you want to record or perhaps a solo artist who wants to achieve a very simple acoustic arrangement, the recording process will obviously go by much faster and we want you to be able to reap the benefits of saving us time (whenever that ends up being the case).

Note: The rates listed below include access to all of One Stone's audio equipment / instruments / recording space, a two-person team working on your behalf at all times, any arranging of songs or writing of parts (as called upon), any playing of instruments (as needed), and mixing / mastering of your recordings. An official contract with all terms and conditions be made available to you once we establish a plan for your project.

*All revenue received is directly reinvested back into the studio to purchase new equipment.

Method of payment: We accept cash, check, or credit (powered by Square® card reader).
