One Stone to Record Jingle for Catering Company

One Stone Studios was recently hired by Cuisine à Deux to write, perform, record, and produce a jingle for their Baltimore-based catering business, which specializes in French / Mediterranean food. They intend to use the jingle as "call waiting" music, and the song will be featured as background music for their website as well.

Given very little background information to work off, Angelo and Elie looked for inspiration in all of the "vaguely european" songs that they could conjure up. The final product is somewhat of an amalgamation of "Koop Island Blues," "The Long Honeymoon," the "Monk Theme," and "Si Tu Vois Ma Mère" (Intro to Midnight in Paris). The combination of an acoustic Waltz feel (guitar, piano) with the carefree whistling and accordion playing you might hear outside a Parisian cafe make for quite the jingle. Throw in a flamenco guitar solo and some jovial singing (sans lyrics, per the company's request), and you have a really fun vibe.
